Many politicians just react to emergencies. As a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trained volunteer, I’ve worked proactively to understand issues related to emergencies, and to be prepared for the kinds of situations Plano is facing right now. Also, as a long-time volunteer with the Boy Scouts, I believe in Being Prepared! Over the past 20 years, I have shared my emergency preparedness knowledge and ideas with hundreds of families across our community who were better off for it this week. I’ll share specific ideas on how Plano can be better prepared for the next winter storm in the next few days.
