With more than 40 years as a Plano homeowner and an active civic volunteer leader, Steve is exceptionally prepared to assume the duties as a member of Plano City Council from day one. A graduate (and former chairman) of Leadership Plano and a Plano Citizen’s Academy graduate, Steve served more than seven years on Plano’s Boards and Commissions.

Recent service on three Key Committees:
- Plano ISD Long Range Facilities committee which made recommendations on the closing of Plano school facilities.
- Plano Cultural Arts Plan Advisory Committee – helping shape the future of City supported arts in Plano.
- Plano Bond Referendum Advisory Committee – responsible for recommendations to the City Council regarding which Bond proposals should be submitted to the voters in May.

Real Results for Plano Residents
2014 Zoning Victory
Organized a coalition of homeowners to oppose a rezoning request for a 4,000-unit high-rise apartment project near single-family neighborhoods. Later helped negotiate a compromise with developers that resulted in:
- Lower-density development
- More open space
- Added amenities and recreational opportunities for residents
A Practical, Collaborative Leader
- Brings a business-minded approach to city planning
- Works constructively with both developers and residents to find balanced, win-win solutions
- Avoids unrealistic promises and unnecessary conflict—prioritizes smart, responsible governance
